Fresh from the original Spice Islands (Banda, Moluccan Islands), we source our nutmeg and foil (mace). Nutmeg used to be worth it's weight in gold, and is one of the spices that made Amsterdam to a very wealthy city in the 17th century. 
 
We use the original nutmeg and mace from the Banda Islands, these are the original islands where nutmeg was born. Farmers are paid a more-than-fair price. 
 
For this bonbon we work with a 69% dark chocolate from the Award Winning Heinde & Verre, which is a blend of two different Single Origin cacaos: Hacienda Vicoria (Ecuador) and Öko Caribe (Dominican Republic).
