Brought to Amsterdam by sailship!
Fair Transport & Direct Trade
The cacao beans come from the Dominican Republic, where the chocolate makers by it directly from the farmers. We call this 'direct trade' (all our chocolate is direct trade).
The coffee comes from Colombia, from a female coffee cooperation, from nature reservation Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
Both the coffee ànd the cacao beans are transported to Amsterdam by Sail ship! The Tres Hombres, brings the beans, as well as other products like honey and rum, by sail ship to Amsterdam. So the transport is super climate friendly! Want to become a 'pirate' on their ship? Check their adventures here.
